MINORS (KID PITCH; 9-10 YRS OLD; 3rd and 4th grade)

The focus in WMLL minors is developmental with an emphasis on higher-level baseball skills, such as pitching, base running, proper throwing mechanics, and fielding.  This level of baseball is the first year of player pitch and includes 46' pitching mound, 60' base paths, and stealing after the pitch crosses the plate.  This level of baseball is geared towards 3rd and 4th graders.  See age chart below; all skill levels welcome.  This age group can participate in Little League All Stars with the potential to advance and become the State Champions. Our Minors last won the State Championship in 2019!

Spring Season: Teams are formed via the player draft in March. Teams consist of 11-12 players (9 are used on defense).  Practices start in March at our indoor facility (the Hanger) and will transition to the outdoor fields as weather permits. Expect to play 14-18 games, including an annual end of year district tournament hosted by Wauwatosa Milwaukee Little League in July. Games for the 2023 season were played at Kops Park and Madison Park. See Spring Season program page for more details

Fall Season: Teams typically play double headers on Sundays starting late August through early October.  Practices are scheduled by the coach.  Fall Season 2023 consisted of double headers played on Sundays 8/27 thru 10/8 with no games played on 9/6.  Stay tuned for Fall 2024 specifics or see Fall Ball program page for more details.

T-Ball (4-6 years old)
Tee ball teaches the very basic fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, and running the bases. The primary focus is for the kids to have fun while learning the game. The expectation of this division is for players to learn the game of baseball. This level of baseball is for Kindergarten and below.

The focus in machine pitch is on further developing basic baseball skills and teaching teamwork. A pitching machine is used. Scores are kept and stats are tracked. Games have a fun and introductory competitive atmosphere. This level of baseball is geared towards 1st and 2nd graders. If your player is not in the 1st grade, the league will hold a tryout to see if they have the skill set to play with the Machine Pitch level.
